Ticketer - Begins Filming

In the beautiful city of Norwich, filming begins on short film 'Ticketer'. Starring Martin Ballantyne and cinematography by Kris Smith, this is the directorial debut for John Atkins. I will be editing this short film when filming completes this year.

I'm Still Here - Premiere

September 7th 2013 saw the 'world' premiere of my good friend Kris Smith's debut feature film 'I'm Still Here'. Something I had been longly anticipating and excited to see, and it didn't disappoint.

The night started off with a lovely speech by Kris, talking about the inspiration for his film, working with the talented Dan Burman, and a thank you to his family, friends and cast and crew.

At the end of the film there wasn't a dry eye in the house, which led to a glorious standing ovation throughout the entire ending credits.

Kris Smith has now graduated from NUA with a masters in Film, and I'm pretty sure it's safe to say that the world is his oyster.

My Last Day On 'One'

At the beginning of 2013, I had the extremely lucky privilege of being invited to join a collective of volunteers with the dream of producing a feature film. Over a period of six months 'Reel People Films' would start an adventure in the vibrant city of Bristol. With eight writers behind a ready draft and ten directors at the helm, we were all about to embark on a journey to create the feature film entitled 'One'.

My time on set has been an amazing experience, and got the chance to meet some truly inspiring people, and I will never forget what we achieved this year. One weekend that will stay with me forever, is the time we spent filming on the Clifton suspension bridge. Overlooking the shimmering lights of night time Bristol, we set to work in the manner that became the Reel People Film's camaraderie of those six months.

'One' is now entering five months of post production. The journey lives on, but I want to take five minutes in writing this blog to say a huge thank you to Ross Wilson and Sica Denerley-Weiss for welcoming me with open arms into their filmmaking family, and I feel proud to be associated with this production.

I teamed up with writer and comedian Eddie Brown back in February to help bring his character, middle aged punk 'Scabs' to the screen. Two days to film and a couple of months worth of evenings and weekends to create the entire edit. Please watch and enjoy.

A Film Screening & A Wrap Party

Well that was an eventful weekend. Had a pleasant visit to Norwich, to attend two events. The Haunting of Harry Payne, a supernatural horror produced by EQ Films, was screened at Cinema City in Norwich. I was lucky enough to get some work back in August 2012 on set and get an invite to the screening. I was very impressed with the film considering the budget. A visceral and engaging film.

Activity Update

'Scabs' is currently in post-production, currently on it's second rough cut and all is going well.
Keep eyes peeled over here and twitter for a release date and where you will be able to see it online.


'Project One', production took to Bristol Market May 18th & 19th, a very fast and energetic shoot with some great shots in the can. Really enjoying time on set with everyone involved.

Activity Update

Four projects currently in the works, this is where they all currently stand.


Tomorrow sees the first production day of 'Scabs' mockumentary. The last day will be Sunday May 5th. Lots to do, will be filming all over Bath Spa, filming in beautiful locations such as Bath Crescent and Sydney Gardens. Last day of production will see the team take to the streets with the character of Scabs gathering vox pops.


Forum Bath is now starting to grow. First of the vox pops are now online at the new official Forum Bath Youtube Channel. There is also now a Twitter profile. Filming a live discussion event at Green Park Station, Bath on Saturday 11th of May.

Wednesday the 3rd of April, London, UK.
Production moves to a hospital set in Tooting for filming of key hospital scenes for Kris Smith's debut feature film "I'm Still Here". 45 supporting artists to organise into groups of doctors, nurses, patients and visitors. A long successful day, amazing artists and crew. A big thank you to everyone who was involved in the production process that day, and a big thank you to the crew, Kris, Chelsea, Mark, Joe, John, Mandy and Steve.

Current Activity Update

One: The Movie
Excited to be on the camera crew team for the feature film production 'One: The Movie'. Filming starts 22nd of March and continues through until end of August 2013.

Scabs
Working with comedian/writer Eddie Brown on his mockumentary pilot 'Scabs'. The pilot introduces Scabs, a middle aged punk with a deluded mission to bring exposure to a non-exsistent and out of date punk movement in Bath Spa. Screen tests complete, filming commences soon.

The Murmur
Behind the scenes footage of two improv workshops and audition processes for stage production 'The Murmur' now archived. Writing continues while I work on other projects.

Victor & The Lamb
2 Bee Productions, my a.k.a is producing the short film production 'Victor & The Lamb'. A phycological sci-fi following introverted teenager Darren's love story with punk activist anarchist Kelly. At the same time Darren is presented with two conflicting realities and has to make life changing choices through the chaos that ensues. Crowd funding campaign commences soon. Filming starts May 18th 2013.

New Political Project
Will be creating video content for a new website. The intention, to get the younger and older generation of Somerset into the same room through live events, website/blog, online videos and social media. This will be a non-biased and current political affairs open platform that discusses what proactive changes could be made within the government for a better future.

Rich Wareham Runs Bath Half Marathon In Aid Of 'Coppafeel'.

On the 27th of February,  I will be filming Rich Wareham, as he gets all the hair shaved off from his head for charity. Rich Wareham will also be running the Bath half marathon, all in aid of the amazing charity organisation 'Coppafeel'.

Dermot O'Leary & Greg James are also running for the charity with a Hundred Hooters (giant boobs) & is the lead charity in this year's race.
